On the Day:
Kadie and Jayden had travelled to Queenstown from the North Island and they each brought their parents along. What made it even more special was that Jayden’s Dad surprised him from the Gold Coast, after not seeing each other for 2 years. They all stayed at Kamana Lakehouse and on the morning of the wedding day, they got ready in adjacent rooms. We arranged a first look on the balcony; Kadie looked absolutely stunning, her hair was done in a modern ponytail which really suited her and her dress was very full and floaty, it moved with her beautifully.
We all travelled to Moke Lake together where we met Celebrant Andrew Bell, it was a beautiful day out there and the lake was perfectly flat with gorgeous reflections. Kadie’s Dad walked her down the “aisle,” followed by a lovely short ceremony and their parents each said a few words, before signing the paperwork. We laid out a picnic blanket for the cutting of their cake, adorned with flowers and a plaque that reads “Mr & Mrs Bond.” We took some family photos and headed back to town.
Kadie and Jayden took a helicopter flight up to Cecil Peak for Champagne and photos at golden hour, in the most stunning light. Jayden made the best Champagne spray I have ever seen, right at me and my camera, it looked great! We got tonnes of great couple shots and of course, we captured Kadie playing with her gorgeous voluminous dress.
The day after their wedding day, I sent them some sneak peek photos and I received the most lovely email from Kadie’s Dad who had taken the time to thank me for the photos. He just couldn’t believe that they were real, he thought they looked photoshopped because they were so stunning. I just love that he shared his delight!
