On the Day:
Linda and Bryn were having their elopement at the glamping dome at Moke Lake, and Harriet the owner had set them up with a luxurious gourmet picnic for the occasion. They snacked on local cheeses and tasty dips until Andrew Bell, their celebrant, arrived. The arch was already set up, overlooking the breathtaking views of the mountains around the lake, beautiful green foliage and large white flowers perfectly complimenting the scenery. The talented Linda had made her own bouquet and flower crown and these pops of colour were as gorgeous as the homemade cake that she had made and brought.
The weather did what it always does and changed its mind constantly, wind and rain joining us on and off until it noticed how beautiful the intimate elopement was and left us in peace for the ceremony.
After the ceremony, we drove down to Moke Lake, for the views of course but also to visit the horses so that these two animal lovers could get their fix. The horses came right up for scratches and we relaxed in the serene setting and took photos here.
Next up we headed to the airport for our next big adventure. The helicopter took off and Linda and Bryn were gobsmacked by the views and the snowy peaks as we made our way to Earnslaw Burn. The conditions for the flight were perfect and we had a gentle descent into the valley with its huge expanse of schist rock and its epic waterfall. After landing on the rocky valley floor below, we had champagne in this once-in-a-lifetime setting with the waterfall cascading down the mountain behind us.
A special song had been chosen and we put it on now so that Linda and Bryn could have their first dance in this magical place.
A huge congratulations to Linda and Bryn, the perfect team, thank you for letting me be a part of it for your special day.
