An Intimate and Magical Mountaintop Wedding in Queenstown

Laura + Andy

Love Story:

These lovebirds met on Tinder! As the story goes, Laura was an hour late for their first date, which meant Andy had time to fit in an extra beer. They then went for dumplings and made an agreement to get married one day!

They both share their love for good food and call themselves big foodies. Plus they adore dogs and now have two of their own and they love taking them for walks together. Their idea of the perfect weekend involves an early morning workout, then walking the dogs at the off-leash dog beach followed by brunch and good coffee! They say they just love spending time together, even when it’s doing nothing at all.

On the Day:

Laura and Andy planned their intimate wedding in Queenstown, with their nearest and dearest. They travelled from Auckland for the big day, Laura was accompanied by her three bridesmaids and her mother, who got ready together at The Rees Hotel, in the stunning Bridal Suite. Laura looked gorgeous in her one-shoulder white gown, her hair was loosely curled and she wore a veil that she had borrowed from her Granny.

Andy got ready in another room of the Hotel, with his best friend Matt who was his groomsman. When it was time to meet, Andy met Laura on the balcony of the Bridal Suite for their first look, such a special moment for the two of them to share. Soon after that, we all travelled to Coronet Peak where we met with their Celebrant who was also a friend of theirs and had travelled from Auckland to marry them, with their bridal party by their side. After the ceremony, everyone enjoyed Champagne to congratulate the beautiful couple, followed by some couple and group photos. It was the most stunning spot with a view over the Remarkables and the guests were blown away by the view and the gloriously clear weather that day!

We then took a Helicopter ride to Cecil Peak in time for the golden hour and they popped another bottle of Champagne. Laura added a sequinned cape over her dress which sparkled beautifully in the sunlight and the wind caught her veil perfectly. We moved about the mountain top getting some amazing shots of Laura and Andy for what was the end of simply the most magical day.
