On the day:
The couple initially planned a big wedding in their hometown (Perth Australia), which was unfortunately canceled due to the pandemic. This made them rethink their plans, and being introverts who love to travel, they decided that it would be best to just elope in Queenstown with their family and closest friends.
After getting ready separately at a beautiful Airbnb on Wakatipu heights, the girls and their guests made their way to the helicopter hangar where Brit and Dani took different helis, wanting their first glimpse of each other to be at the ceremony.
When we landed on Cecil Peak, we got Dani in position, with all their friends and family, together with the celebrant, Glennys Logan. With the sun shining over us, overlooking the shimmering Lake Wakatipu, Brit looked so beautiful walking across the field with her dad and their daughter, Pason, as their flower girl. After the ceremony, all their friends and family put their arms up in the air to make an arch, and Dani and Brit walked under the arch while everyone cheered. Both of them wanted to pop champagne bottles, which was so fun since it was my first time having a couple both popping bottles. When the guests have been properly soaked with champagne, they flew back down to the ground, but not before the helicopter flew over the couple and did crazy tricks in the air, turning upside-down (check out the gallery for the cool shots I got with the helicopter in the background). We then whisked Dani & Britt across the lake to the Remarkables for shots in the snow, and a picnic with their favorite red wine and snacks for them to enjoy.
After a fun shoot in the snow, we flew back and I drove them into town where they had hired Perky’s Floating Bar to enjoy the evening with their friends and family. They had ordered heaps of cheeseburgers and curry cheese fries from Devil Burger for their reception and we welcomed them back to the boat with hurrays and tequila shots *wink. With the sunset in the background, they cut their cake and partied the night away.
