The Intimate Wedding of Jess + Camille
I had the pleasure of doing an engagement shoot for Jess and Camille so when I went to shoot their wedding I felt like I was meeting up with old friends.
Camille had hired out an Airbnb for her whole family to stay at so I went to meet her there. I took some candid shots of her while she got ready before I drove to Kamana Lakehouse to meet Jess and his family for more photos before the ceremony.
I love to take some time to capture the wedding details, the venue, the flowers, all the little touches that make the wedding unique.
The theme at Kamana Lakehouse is simple elegance and it was filled with the most beautiful orchids. The reception was on the lawn with a stunning floral arch and the iconic Remarkable mountains as the backdrop.
Camille had asked the women to wear pink and all the different shades added to the elegance of the intimate wedding.
At the very end of the ceremony, raindrops started to fall so I got on the phone to the helicopter company and we decided to go quickly before the weather took over. We were so glad we did because when we got to Cecil Peak the conditions were perfect, moody, and magical with the amazing views of Lake Wakatipu stretching out below us.
After a truly magical couples shoot, we got back to Kamana Lakehouse and took some more family photos before I left my old friends to enjoy their 3-course dinner with their nearest and dearest after one of the most beautiful weddings I have had the pleasure of shooting.
Congratulations again Jess and Camille, I hope I get to see you again soon.
