On the Day:
It was just the two of them and they had travelled from Sydney to elope here in Queenstown. The day began with Margie and Michael getting ready together at their beautiful, warm and cosy cottage in Kelvin Heights. Margie wore the most elegant, off-the-shoulder, fitted lace gown and flowing white veil. We arranged their first look outside on the sunny deck area with a stunning view, looking out over the lake and mountains.
We headed up to Lake Erskine where there had been a fresh drop of snow only three days prior, so it was looking magical with all the surrounding mountain tops covered in snow. The snow was deep and Margie had come prepared with a small stool to stand on in the snow, which allowed her dress to sit perfectly. Margie and Michael had chosen to share their vows privately and without a celebrant, it was a beautiful ceremony for just the two of them, followed by Champagne! We captured some incredible photos of them in the snow, overlooking the glistening blue lake.
Then on to Coromandel Peak via Helicopter, another stunning spot and one of my favourites. It’s covered in golden tussock and allows outstanding views over Lake Wanaka. Margie and Michael loved it and simply couldn’t choose which location they liked more!
