The Dream Elopement and Honeymoon in Queenstown, New Zealand

Love Story:

Jessica and David’s love story began in September 2020 when they met on a dating app and went on a date the very next day. They have been together ever since. They feel like they have a lot in common including their love of movies, trying new restaurants, exploring the outdoors, going for walks and spending time with family.

It was their dream to get married in New Zealand and they travelled all the way from Florida, the US, to make it happen. They planned a two-week trip here to elope and have their honeymoon. Jessica is a huge Lord of the Rings fan, so Queenstown was at the top of her list and they were sure to tie in a trip to Glenorchy to ride the horses where it was filmed, as well as travel North to visit Hobbiton.

On the Day:

On the morning of their wedding, I met them at their apartment in downtown Queenstown where they were getting ready together. David wore a beautiful pale salmon-coloured jacket and tan pants, which looked fabulous with the golden surroundings here. Jessica looked incredible in a long-sleeved white lace dress and tan faux fur to complete the look, which tied their outfits together perfectly.

We then headed off up to Coronet Peak to meet their celebrant Andrew Bell, where the ceremony took place amongst the rustic landscape and in front of the freshly snow-dusted mountains. We were lucky enough to have beautiful warm sunny weather, for the couple’s special day. Then we drove to Jack’s Point for some more couple shots in the field, directly in front of the snowy Remarkables.
