Corrie + Jarett’s Beautiful Elopement In Queenstown New Zealand
Corrie and Jarret met right before Covid19 hit New Zealand and their lockdown love story began. They fell madly in love and had their engagement shoot up The Remarkables mountain range booked in with me asap!
On a warm Spring day in November, I was driving to a private farm that looked towards Coronet Peak for their wedding. As I made my way up the picturesque driveway a lamb ran to meet me.
I got chills of excitement when I looked at the ceremony spot and saw the stunning way that they had decorated the arch that they had hired from me, I love seeing how different couples put their individual touch to it.
Corrie looked exquisite in a dress that she had flown over from The States just in time for hr wedding and a delicate flower crown by the Flower Room finished off her look. Jarret wore a blue suit and a huge smile as he looked at his Bride to be.
There were about 10 guests at the intimate hour-long ceremony, with the soft melody of a guitar floating around us in the warm Spring air.
We took photos on the property with its beautiful trees and views down the valley before driving to Kelvin Heights for sunset. The vastness of Lake Wakatipu made it look like an ocean from where we stood and it reminded Corrie of the coast in San Diego, where she is from. The wind picked up so the lake even looked like it had ocean waves rolling over it.
I looked at this smitten couple, with the New Zealand mountains above and Lake Wakatipu below, and I thought how there is almost always a silver lining. Jarret is from Canada and wasn’t long in the country before meeting Corrie from San Diego when lockdown pushed them together.
Congratulations Corrie and Jarret, I am so happy for you two!
