Intimate Wedding of Scarlett & Paul

It was Paul’s life long love of boats that eventually brought him sailing into Scarlett’s life. They met in China where he was running a company that built luxury yachts. The language barrier was an issue when they first met but love conquers all and they overcame it.
For their wedding, they decided to bring both of their families together in Queenstown New Zealand & with the aid of their trusty New Zealand wedding photographer (me) capture a beautiful New Zealand experience for Scarlett’s family who had never been here before.

Paul and Scarlett’s stunning Queenstown wedding not only marked the joining of two souls but also the joining of two families and two cultures as the wedding was translated so that everyone was included.
I first joined Scarlett in a holiday home in Goldfield heights where it was all hands on deck as she had her hair and makeup done and got ready for her big day. She slipped her feet into her sparkly Jimmy Choo shoes and we were off to Gibbston Valley. The ceremony was held in the gardens with beautiful florals all around, complemented by the little flower girls sprinkling petals as they walked down the aisle in their pink dresses.

After the ceremony, I took the couple up the Crown Range for some epic Queenstown shots with the stunning scenery. As the crow flies, it was a short drive but it felt like we were on top of the world, surrounded by beautiful Queenstown mountains. The wind picked up and blew Scarlett’s dress adrift in the most perfect way. Eventually, I called Ahoy! and we headed back to the guests and enjoyed a 5-course degustation meal followed by cake cutting and dancing.
Now that I’ve managed to fit all the sailing puns I can think of into this story I’ll leave you with some more gorgeous shows of their amazing day!
